Celebrate Mother’s Day weekend with DOORS OPEN Pittsburgh and local artist Ron Donoughe at his Lawrenceville studio.
Ron will guide you through his studio, the process of making art, plein air style, and a color mixing demo.
As you move through his spacious Lawrenceville studio, you cannot help but enjoy the walls that are covered in his art spanning 30 years. Ron will explain the 90 Pittsburgh Neighborhoods project, and his newest book Brownsville to Braddock – which will be available for sale.
Masks are required for entry. Tour group size is limited to encourage social distancing.

Tour Host: A native of Loretto, Pa, Ron Donoughe has been painting and documenting the western Pennsylvania region for the last 30 years. Ron has been honored with numerous awards, including best of show at Three Rivers Arts Festival, 2003 His work was selected for Salon International, Masters of Contemporary Fine Art, 2004 in San Antonio, TX. Ron was also featured in a one-person exhibition at the Pittsburgh Center for the Arts in November 2006, to coincide with a book released at that time, Essence of Pittsburgh. In 2011, he was selected to exhibit at the Pennsylvania Governor’s residence with an exhibition titled, Across the Alleghenies.
