The July Backyard Garden Series has been postponed to Aug 5 due to inclement weather.

Inspired by the CAC's Ecologies of Elsewhere exhibit, the summer Co-LAB series Backyard Gardens invites participants into the gardens of creative BIPOC growers throughout the city to discuss their relationship to food, planting, and the healing power of gardening.

July's Backyard Garden takes place in Madisonville at the home of Chandra Frank and focuses on growing baskets for salads and herbs. Frank is a feminist and queer researcher who works on the intersections of archives, waterways, gender, sexuality and race. She is co-curator of the Ecologies of Elsewhere exhibit, currently on show at the CAC.

This event is free but registration is required. Participants will receive the garden location upon registering for the event.

Don't miss out on this unique opportunity to grow your knowledge of gardening and connect with amazing artists and gardeners in your community.

Register now and discover the transformational power of gardening.
