The Dutchess County Regional Chamber of Commerce will host the 27th annual Hudson Valley Hot-Air Balloon Festival on July 7-9, 2017. We are expecting another great weekend with balloon launches, fireworks, and lots of festival activities between Friday and Sunday.

We have made a lot of changes to improve our festival! We are excited to host the entire festival at Barton Orchards at 63 Apple Tree Lane in Poughquag.

We've expanded our festival hours to have activities happening all day on Saturday & Sunday and most of the day on Friday. Thanks to our friends at Barton Orchards, we will have LOTS of family activities such as a petting zoo, hay mazes, hayrides, food trucks, a tap room, bakery and farmer's market, fire pits, ball toss, vendors, live music from great bands, and FIREWORKS and MOON GLOW both Friday and Saturday night! We will, of course, have tether rides and rides in the hot-air balloons for sale (weather depending).

Barton Orchards is a farm, and both on- and off-site parking is on grass, so it might be muddy and/or dusty. We suggest all visitors should dress appropriately including wearing sturdy, closed-toe footwear and clothes you won’t mind getting dirty. The use of bug and tick repellent and sunscreen is STRONGLY recommended. 

NO DOGS ALLOWED. If animals are left in vehicles, the police will be notified. Please do not bring outside food or beverages. Picnic blankets and chairs are welcome, but please be courteous to other guests and the balloonists.

Tether rides will be available for cash only the day of the event and cost $20 per person.    

27th Annual Hudson Valley Hot-Air Balloon Festival Hours and Cost:

A Limited Number of tickets will be sold at the door for $12 on Friday and Saturday. Weekend passes are available for admission all weekend and includes all activities (excluding tether and balloon rides). Sunday admission is not available in advance. Ticket prices include sales tax and fees. All sales are final. No returns, exchanges, or refunds. No exceptions.

Children under 3 are free.
