In the one man show, Birth of a Ho' Ass Nation, Jacob Russell takes you on an hilarious history based journey through the sometimes egregious, sometimes inspiring, American black experience. A bamboozling slave trader, deadbeat founding fathers, and a friendly African lion all help bring this "real ass" story to life. Birth of a Ho' Ass Nation highlights ALL the history you ho's were miseducated on.
Our Friday and Saturday shows do tend to sell out. Pre-purchasing your tickets for these shows is highly suggested. On Wednesday, Thursday, and Sunday, one ticket is generally good for the full night of shows (pending availability, but we're often available!)
We recommend you arrive at least 15 minutes before show time.
Even with a pre-paid ticket, seating is still assigned at the door on a first come first serve basis. Due to our cabaret style seating and our commitment to making sure everyone is seated comfortably, an early arrival does not guarantee a table of your choosing (but it helps!).
If you purchase 12 or more tickets at once, a 10% discount will be automatically applied to your order. Please let us know if you experience any issues with this discount!
Forms of payment accepted at the box office: CASH, VISA/MASTERCARD, AMERICAN EXPRESS, DISCOVER
Free Parking is available in our lot and the Courthouse next door after 5pm. Metered Parking is available on 9 Mile and in a lot across the street. The meter expires at 9pm, and is free on Sundays.
