EVENT SUMMARY
Detroit Burger Brawl 2016 is hosted by Dine Drink Detroit, Low Frequency + Fairway Packing, in partnership with Detroit Eastern Market. Restaurants from Metro-Detroit will be competing for the title of Detroit’s Burger Brawl 2016 Champion! Attendees will have the opportunity to sample all of the burgers and vote for their favorite. Only the TOP 4 restaurants with the most votes will get the chance to prepare a custom burger for our celebrity judges panel.

The focus of the Detroit Burger Brawl is the promotion of local area restaurants and chefs - as well as the promotion of the historic Detroit Eastern Market, by way of a family- friendly event. All of the meat used will be donated and custom made by Fairway Packing for each participating restaurant.

EVENT DESCRIPTION
The 2016 Burger Brawl will be a street fair-style strolling sampling with 15-20 participating restaurants and sponsors, including family-friendly activities. Erksine which will be shut down for the day to accommodate the event.

The event will be emceed by Ken Daniels the voice of Detroit Red Wing hockey.

Restaurant participants will serve a sampling of the burger they intend to prepare for the Burger Brawl competition.

EVENT TIMELINE + VOTING + JUDGING
Voting will take place between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. Attendees will vote via Burger Brawl voting. Results will be updated in real time via the web.

The top 4 will compete in a burger brawl LIVE on stage.  At 1:00 p.m. Fairway Packing will work with the finalists to prepare a custom burger blend. From 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. the Finalists will prepare their  best burgers for our 5 member celebrity judges panel to be declared Detroit’s Burger Brawl Champion 2016.
