Chiseled is a brand new band from San José, with Tom Gewecke and Stefan Frazier, two friends who’ve played in various formations (often together) around town for years. During the pandemic, bored and bereft, they started carving out bigger and bigger chunks of time devoted to song creation, recording, and producing, an effort that ultimately led to an album release in July 2021. Tom and Stef initially bonded over Townes Van Zandt, and are influenced by a range of folk, country, indie, and other strains of Americana – though have been known to dabble elsewhere too. This show will be largely about that eponymous first album, plus new releases never before performed.
