There is a ton of excitement around Corktown because of the recently redeveloped Michigan Central, but what's happening around and as a consequence of this massive reinvestment in Detroit’s Oldest Neighborhood. On this two-hour tour, you’ll explore the history of this everchanging neighborhood, as well as highlight newly finished developments, exciting projects in the works and some of the BIPOC entrepreneurs and artists working in the neighborhood. We’re sure you’ve driven up Michigan Avenue, and have maybe even seen a game or grabbed a bite near The Corner, but what else is happening in Corktown?
We recommend visiting Michigan Central prior to or after this tour during their public open house hours to ensure that you have ample time to explore it. We will not go inside the building during this tour.
