After the success of their Winter Galas earlier we at Detroit Gatsby will be hosting The Gatsby Spring Soirée, a 1920s epoch, later this month. Inspired by the F Scott Fitzgerald novel The Great Gatsby, the night will immerse attendees in 1920s culture, fashion, music and entertainment, recapturing a period that embodies extravagance, free spirits and glamour!

Founded in 1839, the Detroit Boat Club is the oldest such organization in the country. This building, the DBC’ s sixth home, was designed by Alpheus W. Chittenden and dedicated Aug. 5, 1902. The Venetian-style clubhouse sits on the site of the club’ s two previous homes — both lost to fires. Looking to avoid a three-peat, this clubhouse was built as one of the earliest structures in the country built entirely of concrete.

Be a part of this magnificent structure's new history! Come dressed to impress and enjoy Jazz Age classics performed by crooner Paul King and the Rhythm Society Orchestra, a sumptuous strolling supper and a very well stocked bar! The dance floor is larger and perfectly suited for you to show off your Charleston! Tickets available at http://DetroitGatsby.org

We're very excited about our beneficiary for this event so stay tuned for an announcement regarding the worthy organization doing good in Detroit's neighborhoods we're partnering with!
