Booksmith is thrilled to present the launch event for Dominic Lim's debut novel, All the Right Notes. He will be joined in conversation by Jessica Wan, host of the podcast The Ampersand Manifesto: Multi-Passionate People Dive Deep. The Pinole Valley High School Choir will start off the evening with a selection of Broadway show tunes and Dominic will be joined by the vocal ensemble NovAntiqua to sing selections from the book, including the original song "A Part I Play." An assortment of Filipino finger foods and desserts will also be provided. About the speakers

Dominic Lim has enjoyed a lifelong love affair with music. Dominic holds a master’s from Indiana University Jacobs School of Music, is an alum of the Oberlin Conservatory of Music, and has sung with numerous professional choral ensembles. As a proud member of the Actors’ Equity Association, he has performed Off-Broadway and in regional productions throughout the US. Although he probably shouldn’t admit to having favorites, the thrill of singing “This is the Hour” in the chorus of Miss Saigon still pops up in his dreams. Dom supports his local writing community as a member of the Writers Grotto and as a co-host of San Francisco’s Babylon Salon. He lives in Oakland with his loving and supportive partner, Peter, and their whiny cat, Phoebe.

Jessica Wan is an executive and leadership coach, singer, and creator and host of the podcast The Ampersand Manifesto, where she interviews people who, like her, have built multiple careers in two different worlds. Jessica holds an MBA from Berkeley-Haas and studied Product Design and Music at Stanford. As a coach, she partners with senior leaders and business owners looking for support in the realms of leadership, management, and growth. Jessica previously led marketing teams and product launches at Apple, Smule, Magoosh, and the San Francisco Opera.
