Francis Experience Quintet is led by Jonathan Francisco Borca, alongside co-founder Gabby Horlick (drums), and features musicians Bennett Roth (piano), Miguel “Frunkyman” Leyva (bass), and Mark Arroyo (guitar). The group describes their sound as Hip Hop(e), blending jazz-fusion, rap, poetry, and storytelling rooted in the spirit of healing.

Each performance often extends beyond music, weaving in media such as dance, live painting, or projection mapping to create shared, multisensory experiences. The group also collaborates with local artisans and makers to invest in San José’s creative ecosystem and is guided by a commitment to pay equity and accessible art across disciplines.

For this show, the group will make their Art Boutiki debut on Jonathan’s birthday, joined by power-duo MindFi and celebrated stand-up poet Mighty Mike McGee.
