The Cedar Lake Historical Association commissioned Mitch Markovitz, founding artist of the new south shore poster series, to depict a significant historical scene from Cedar Lake incorporating the Lake and the Lassen’s Hotel property. Lassen’s Hotel became the CLHA Museum in 1977. Mitch chose to depict the Lassen Bros. Dance Pavilion on a starry Cedar Lake evening. Prints measure 18 inches wide by 27 inches tall. Choose from signed or unsigned versions.
Brushmaster Robert Behounek created this one-of-a-kind watercolor shocard to promote the 2021 Steam Through History collaborative project between the Cedar Lake Historical Association and Hesston Steam Museum. It depicts the Alabama No. 4, a 1915 Manitowoc Dry Dock Co. lifeboat that was converted to a steam launch by James Kinkaide in 1996, which is operated by the Hesston Steam Museum. Prints are 12 inches wide by 18 inches tall.
