Settle in for a Northern Michigan summer evening at the $100,000 World Championship Hunter Rider Central Spectacular, presented by Frank & Eileen.

Hunter competition offers a different experience from show jumping. If a Grand Prix is the equestrian equivalent of the 100-meter freestyle—fast, powerful, and decided by the clock—the hunter discipline is closer to synchronized swimming, where rhythm, precision, style, and the overall performance determine the result.

Bring family and friends, find a place to watch, enjoy a drink, and take in an evening of exceptional horses and riders. Explore food, shopping, and activities throughout Flintfields Horse Park between rounds, or enhance your evening with access to The Overlook or a VIP Club pass.

Plan to Arrive Early and Stay for the Evening

With a large field of entries expected, the competition may begin earlier than the currently scheduled start time. Arriving early is the best way to ensure you don’t miss a round, while the final awards are anticipated around 9 PM.

There’s no need to watch every horse from start to finish. Come and go throughout the evening, spend time with friends, explore the park, take in some shopping, and return ringside as the competition builds toward the final awards.

All General Admission proceeds support local nonprofits. This week’s featured nonprofit is Kids On The Go – Traverse City.

Refund Policy:

All events are held rain or shine. General Admission Tickets: Refund requests must be made at least one hour before the first horse enters the ring on the day of the event. Premium Hospitality Tickets (The Overlook, VIP Club, Box Seats, and special hospitality events): Refunds are available up to 48 hours prior to the scheduled event. Weather & Schedule Policy Traverse City Horse Shows events are held rain or shine. In the event of severe weather, including heavy rain or lightning, competition may be delayed, paused, adjusted, or in rare cases rescheduled for safety. Schedule changes, including earlier start times or movement to another competition day, may occur based on weather conditions. Guests are encouraged to dress for changing conditions and monitor email and Traverse City Horse Shows social channels for event-day updates. Thanks to top-quality footing and experienced event management, weather-related disruptions are typically minimal.
