DOORS OPEN Pittsburgh INSIDER TOUR --- In the Steps of Suffragists

Tour date/time(s): Saturday, October 3, 10:00am - 11:00am / 2:00pm - 3:00pm

2020 marks the centennial of the Nineteenth Amendment, which guaranteed American women the right to vote.

The fight for women's suffrage lasted seven decades, and Pittsburgh women were in it from the start.

This walking tour explores downtown sites where suffragists paraded, protested, and fundraised for their cause.

Along the way, we'll uncover some hidden history of local suffragists whose names you might not know, but who were bold leaders in the fight for the franchise.
