About LIVE

Drs. Anjuliet Woodruffe, Simone Savannah (University of Cincinnati), and invited guest Dr. Marquese Mc Ferguson (Florida Atlantic University) invite you to witness their collaborative poetry performance entitled LIVE: Liberating Ideas (through) Voices (and) Expression.

This collaborative performance is inspired by the privet hedge created by Gary Rieveschl in 1976 that lives on the lawn of the College of DAAP on the University of Cincinnati's Main campus and will tackle what it means to LIVE with/in a raced body while navigating being an academic over the last 5 years.

This performance contributes to narratives of identity, space, and patterns of lived experience and is an ideal form of connecting art (as public sculpture) to spaces and the people who inhabit them. By showing how we are all differently impacted by life’s circumstances, this collaborative performance uses artistic and auto/ethnographic methods to investigate identity and representation.

We invite students to share their LIVE-D experience by completing this survey.

Reception: 5:00-5:30

Performance 5:30-7:00

Co-sponsored by University of Cincinnati Taft Research Center.
