After selling out Art Boutiki for her 2016 EP Release Show with ArtemesiaBlack, MARTHA
GROVES PERRY makes a joyful return to her favorite venue to celebrate the release of Call Out,
her second album and third release. Expressionist Americana &; Rock Artist KENNY SCHICK, who
is also Martha’s producer, makes his long-awaited return to the San Francisco Bay Area to
perform a generous solo set of his original music. Kenny will then join Martha for a few songs
during a hefty full band set with her new rhythm section – The MGP Band – with Kevin Kriner
on bass and Yuri Selukoff on drums.
In Call Out, Martha’s third release, her songwriting takes a decidedly bold turn, speaking clearly
about hard truths with her characteristic insight and humor. Her lyrics are poetry, evoking
strong visual and tactile imagery. Captivating melodic hooks, precise harmonies, and incisive
commentary on herself and the world as she sees it combine with fat, intoxicating, badass
Americana grooves created in partnership with producer Kenny Schick of Basement 3
Productions in Nashville.
Come hungry for intense, great music, and don’t miss this joyous celebration!
