Coming this Fall 2021, Michigan Stage will offer Youth Playlab Programs at Go Comedy! for local youth ages 7-18. These semester length after-school programs will be focused on building performance skills through ensemble-based work, improvisation, and individualized coaching. Playlabs culminate with a student created original musical to be performed on the final day of the program.

Dates:

September 13th through November 17th.  

Mondays and Wednesdays from 4PM-6PM.

Tuition: $350 for both days, $250 for one.

Expanding Boundaries. There are lots of parts to creating a play. NOT ALL Students are required to perform, though all are expected to participate in creation of the play. There will be opportunities for students to stage manage, assistant direct, and design/build the production. Click below for more info.

COVID-19 Policies and Procedures.

At a minimum, Michigan Stage’s Covid-related protocols will comply with applicable State of Michigan mandates and align with Oakland County Health Division and American Camp Association. 

To safely accommodate our young people, we work in small groups each week split by age. Our camps will be held in Go! Comedy’s Improv Theatre; a 1400 sq foot stage space with lots of room to move around and with great ventilation. 

We will maintain a pod-style environment with small groups of no more than eight to keep us all safe, to work more closely with our campers, and most importantly, to put our energy into creating the best and wackiest pieces of original musical theatre that we possibly can!
