Chamber Music Series Fall Concert

featuring

The McKinney Philharmonic Orchestra Clarinet Quintet

Join the McKinney Philharmonic Orchestra for an enchanting evening of Mozart, featuring two beloved chamber music masterpieces that showcase the composer’s extraordinary gift for melody, elegance, and expressive beauty.

The program opens with Mozart’s Kegelstatt Trio, a charming and intimate work for clarinet, viola, and piano. Composed in 1786, this delightful trio reflects Mozart’s remarkable ability to create music that is at once playful, graceful, and deeply expressive. Its warm instrumental dialogue and lyrical melodies offer a glimpse into the more personal side of Mozart’s musical world.

The evening continues with Mozart’s magnificent Clarinet Quintet, one of the most cherished works in the clarinet repertoire. Written in 1789 for clarinetist Anton Stadler, this masterpiece weaves the clarinet’s rich, mellow tone into the warmth of a string quartet. From its serene opening to its graceful and spirited finale, the quintet captures Mozart at his most lyrical and inspired, balancing intimacy, elegance, and profound emotional depth.

Experience the timeless beauty of Mozart’s chamber music in an intimate setting where every musical voice can be heard and appreciated. We invite you to join us for an evening of exquisite melodies, musical conversation, and the enduring genius of one of classical music’s greatest composers.
