PADDLE, HOOK and COOK...

Join us for this "NEW" EXCITING educational adventure experience hosted by the ODNR Division of Wildlife. Where you will learn or refresh your fishing skills as well as enjoy a fun kayak float down the scenic Sandusky River.

WHEN: May 10 - Saturday

TIME: 10:00am (4-5 hours)

WHO: Open to all anglers and wanna-be-anglers... ages 10 and up (Younger children may participate but need to be requested and mature in nature) This is a GREAT opportunity for a Mother/Father and Son/Daughter or Grandparents and Grandchildren, Big Brothers/Sisters, Couples or Singles

REQUIRED: Anyone 16 and over must have a current Ohio Fishing License

WHAT: You will be welcomed and introduced to River Fishing with tips and pointers with about a 30 minute presentation. Followed by the kayak fishing adventure which will be about 2-hrs and include a short shuttle ride to the launch location. (Which will be decided the day of the event depending on water levels, weather conditions and skill level of the paddlers, etc...) Those that want to just fish from the banks are welcome to stay back and do that at our private location. After everyone returns... the education fun of cleaning and then cooking up a few samples will begin. (This is not a full meal... just samples for everyone to enjoy) Bottled Water will be provided by Ghoul Runnings upon your return from kayaking. Feel free to bring your own beverages, pack some snacks or a sandwich if you would like.

WHAT TO BRING and WEAR: Weather in May could go either way... so our suggestion is to LAYER it up... wear a hat and bring sunscreen, a fishing pole and gear if you have it... The ODNR will bring some fishing supplies people can use for the experience if needed including poles, lures, stringers, etc...

GHOUL RUNNINGS KAYAK RENTAL - $35.00 p.p.

BYO KAYAK - $25.00 - p.p. (We will shuttle your personal kayak to and from launch)

FISH FROM SHORE ONLY - $15.00 p.p.
