✨ Welcome to Just Two Guys Productions presenting Sordid Lives by Del Shores! ✨

This comedy tells the story of personal struggles to seek (or hide) the truth after the death of a family’s matriarch. The truth sets people free, but that freedom comes at a price because the truth can be painful. The death of this woman, an upstanding member of the community, occurred in a hotel room when she tripped over the wooden legs of her married lover.

The betrayed wife comes for revenge, while Mama’s daughters struggle with more skeletons coming out of the closet. One sister mourns “Brother Boy,” her transvestite brother who Mama had locked up in a mental institution 20 years earlier. The other sister tries to come to grips with the path her own adult son has taken. The legless Vietnam vet seems to be the only one able to grieve for the dead woman.

The local bartender grapples demons of his own, for it was he who brutally beat up his best friend Brother Boy all those years ago out of fear of what others might think. And Mama’s grandson has to decide whether to come back home from Los Angeles to face family with his true identity.
