Bio: After leaving his home of San Francisco to travel and busk for a year through Spain and Portugal by bicycle, Chris Jones (leader of long-time SF band Scary Little Friends) moves to NYC and starts a bi-coastal project that infuses folk, soul, and blues into the sound of Cosmic Street Gospel. Jon Payne (Elliot Peck, The Painted Horses), Jeff Kissell (Marty O’Reilly and the OSO), and Will Forte (the Naked Bootleggers) round out the lineup for the Santa Cruz mountain band.

After planning a record release that included three multi-state tours and various festival appearances, Covid brought the world to a screeching halt. So, what did the band do? They build a full analog studio at their home (aka: “House on a Hill”) in Boulder Creek, Ca; and complete it just in time for it all to be consumed in the CZU Lightning Complex Fires. Despite these hardships, the band continues forward with the release of their first album featuring James DePrato (Chuck Prophet), Stelth Ulvang (Lumineers), Jan Purat (AJ Lee & Blue Summit), Lorenza Loera (CA Honeydrops), and Eric Yates (Hot Buttered Rum), as well as a new live video with the T Sisters, filmed among the ashes where House on a Hill once stood.
