Prerequisite: F4 or equivalent experience required.

Way back in 2013, Dave Dennison created a six-month curriculum for his approach to improv, called the Method of the Moment. The title had two meanings: a systematic approach to improv that placed being present as the highest principle and an approach that was dynamic, that had the possibility of changing from moment to moment. Dave cycled through the curriculum nine times, revising it every time. This two-day intensive will present an updated and distilled version of the Method of the Moment, chock full of epiphanies, acronyms (SNET, PSOF, BEAMS) and fun!

Among the ideas we’ll be playing with:

-Naming characters is more important than you think..

-For your character to feel emotions, you need to be touching space objects.

-In an improv scene we speak a different language with the same vocabulary: Improvish.

Available for students F4 and up (or with coach approval).

BATS Improv Class Refund Policy

• If you cancel more than 96 hours (4 days) before a class begins, we will refund your tuition less a 15% processing fee.
• If you cancel within 96 hours (4 days) of your first class, or any time after your first class session, your tuition will be forfeit.

In the event that we cancel a class due to insufficient enrollment, we’ll refund your tuition in full.
